Internal software has people and rules behind every button. SMEForge keeps forms, permissions and state transitions together while you work on the next change.

Base URL, credentials and a reachable server.

Check the actor’s role and reject a second approval without repeating the operation.
Review before applying
Compare actual behavior with the expected result. If a check fails, investigate it before applying more changes.

Turn an operational rule into a reviewable application change

Business software accumulates exceptions: a request can be withdrawn, an approver can lose permission, and a second click can arrive after the first succeeds. SMEForge gives you a Windows AI coding workspace for translating those operational details into concrete development tasks. Open the application folder and explain the rule in terms of the people using it, the current behavior and the outcome they need.

An approval transition is one example you could work on. Ask the assistant to inspect the status checks, permission decision and save operation together before suggesting edits. Describe what should happen to an already processed request and how the interface should explain a refusal. The example establishes a development brief; SMEForge does not supply an installed approval engine or decide your business policy.

Choose a supported OpenAI-compatible or Anthropic endpoint and supply credentials when required. An uncensored AI model may be selected where your endpoint offers one, with restrictions, context and tools determined by that model and server. Review the proposed changes against the agreed rule, then run your application's tests for authorized, unauthorized and repeated actions before accepting the work.

Planning changes to an operational application

How do I describe a rule that colleagues disagree about?

Separate the observed behavior from the desired policy. Give a concrete request state, actor and expected outcome for each disputed case. Resolve that policy with the responsible people before asking for implementation changes.

Will SMEForge prevent duplicate approvals for me?

Duplicate handling belongs in your application's implementation. Ask for inspection of the transition and persistence code, then test repeated requests. A visible button restriction alone does not establish that the underlying operation happens only once.

What evidence should accompany an approval patch?

Inspect the changed checks and the code that stores the transition. Run cases for permitted actors, denied actors and requests already completed. Keep the expected response explicit so an error cannot be mistaken for success.

Can an internal business project use a local endpoint?

A supported local connection needs a model server running separately. It does not make every tool local. Check where project context and connected services send data before including internal records in the coding conversation.
